These terms cover Halfwake from Taoftware LLC. By using Halfwake, you agree to these terms. Contact support@taoftware.com for help.

Your journal and account

You retain rights to your own content. You grant only the permissions needed to store, transfer, back up, restore, and display it for the features you choose. Keep your account email and devices secure. Do not use the service unlawfully, interfere with others’ accounts, or upload content you have no right to use. Halfwake is not intended for children under 13.

Free features and optional Plus

Local dream logging, voice capture and playback, the journal, Moonlight Atlas, watch capture/phone transfer, and JSON/CSV journal exports are free. Plus adds nine artistic worlds, continuous soundscapes, longer pattern views, premium watch appearance, printable dream books/posters/calendars, and optional account cloud sync and voice backup. Native features such as transcription and dictation depend on device and language support.

US reference prices are $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year. Your store’s checkout shows the applicable local price, taxes, billing period, and any offer before confirmation. Store terms govern billing and refund eligibility. We do not promise an introductory offer or trial unless one is shown in your checkout.

Renewal, cancellation, and restoration

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple or Google. Manage or cancel them in your store account before the displayed renewal date; removing the app or deleting a Halfwake account does not cancel a store subscription. Use Restore purchases in the Plus screen to restore eligible purchases. Refund requests go through the store where you purchased.

After Plus expires, new premium cloud writes stop. Your local journal remains accessible, and existing Halfwake cloud backups remain readable and restorable. Cloud access still requires a working account and connection. Cloud deletion does not require Plus.

Backup, availability, and personal reflection

Voice backup is optional, off by default, and not end-to-end encrypted. Turning it off stops new uploads but keeps existing copies until you delete the dreams or account. Sync requires a connection and is subject to storage limits. Keep independent exports of content important to you; no service can guarantee uninterrupted availability or recovery of every file.

Halfwake supports personal reflection. Patterns and symbols are descriptive journaling tools, not clinical assessments, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Rights, changes, and responsibility

The app, artwork, soundscapes, and software are owned or licensed by Taoftware LLC. You may use them through the app and permitted personal exports; do not redistribute the app’s assets as a separate product. We may improve features or suspend misuse. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate. To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided as available and we are not responsible for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
